Brief

I bought my own TiBook in late 2023 after hunting for one for a couple years. The guy who sold it to me online claimed it didn’t work, but the listing was too good to pass up. For 65 of my hard earned euros, I acquired the TiBook, my iBook, three AirPort routers and a Mac Mini (!). Of course the main attraction was this gorgeous computer, and I figured it was worth taking a gamble as the per item price worked out to a little over ten euros.

One DC in jack and hard drive later and this beauty was running great . The battery even held a usable charge! Of course there were a couple problems, mainly the cosmetic condition which is passable at best, and the problem that plagues every single titanium PowerBook- failing hinges. Although mine are not yet shot, I still baby this computer and use it sparingly. It has however (like all my vintage machines), assisted me in writing papers for university. I adore its ergonomics and design and hope to use it for many years to come!

Ideally, I would love 1GB of RAM and an SSD for this machine, as well as new hinges. Spares ain’t cheap. Here’s to hoping!
